Top Ten 3D Printers Buying Guide!

As everyone knows I love 3d modeling. 3D printing however has really taken the world by storm. Whoever could have guessed that you could model something on a computer then a device could literally print it out for you?

One day I walked into my local jewelry store and a friend of mine took me into the back room and showed me their 3D printing. As a well known 3D artist in the the local area, I had to say I was impressed. Very impressed. I just think it’s so cool that you can print out 3d models.

Of course, these 3d printers are expensive, so I’m taking the guess work out of the equation for you when searching to buy or just check out a new 3D printer. I’ve included the 3D printer cost in my list also for most items. I hope this list is helpful in eliminating part of your search for a 3d printer, I suggest checking out the links!

I went to Amazon and ran a search, here’s what I came up with:

FlashForge 3D Printer – This is Amazon’s featured product. Running at $1,199.00 it has 24 5 Star reviews! It’s worth taking a look at if your interested in buying a new 3D printer!  This printer prints objects in 2 colors.

Makerbot Replicator 2 – This 3d Printer is going for $2,199.00. It’s a bit more expensive than the FlashForge, however it seems to have a lot more features. I guess you get what you pay for! Comes with FREE software that preps your file for printing in just seconds!

Afinia 3D Printer H-Series – This 3d printer is on sale for $1,599.00. This product has 10 5 star ratings, and weighs in at just under 11 lbs. The reviews claim to have great warranties.

Cubify Cube 3D Printer Second Generation – This printer costs $1,299.00. This is a very small 3d printer, and according to amazon reviews is only capable of medium quality prints.

3D Touch 3D CAD Printer with Turbo CAD Pro 19 –  The reviews say this is not an entry level 3D printer, so newbies beware.

Airwolf 3D Printer AW3D – This printer costs $2,399 and has a single 5 star rating, with 0 negative reviews. Worth taking a look at.

Mbot Cube 3D Printer Dual Head – Only has a 3 Star Rating

Jet – Open Source 3D Printer – I think it’s an interesting concept that a 3d printer is open source. I’m assuming that means you can modify the programs it comes with. If you are a programmer this could be invaluable for adding functionality through software.

Cubify CubeX 3D Printer – Stylish and sleek, this 3d printer runs at $2,499.00. It weights in at 79 lbs.

And finally, the most expensive 3d Printer:

Cubify CubeX Trio 3D Printer – $3,999.00 This product says you can print as big as a basketball! You can print in up to 18 different colors and includes design software. This 3d printer contains advanced settings to make for professional quality prints.
